The Way We Live Now

I recently saw Terence Conran's exhibition at the Design Museum and would strongly advise going if you're anything like me and have a serious Conran crush. Highlights included the archive of Habitat catalogues and bags with fantastic graphics and illustrations, they gave a real insight into how Habitat must have shaken things up on the High Street at the time of its opening. It's hard to imagine life without the most basic of products it brought to the UK (such as the humble garlic press)! I also really liked the section on  Conran's restaurants which displayed the crockery, glassware and ashtrays of each venue, demonstrating how much attention to detail there is in everything the  man does. Finally, a fascinating touch was the installation of a replica of Conran's study at home, all that it was missing was the legend himself.

Living Etc February Issue

Get out that black eye pencil and fingerless gloves, Gothic is back! Well, back for your home at least. Here are some images from Living etc's current issue, I assisted on this shoot back in November. I love the green glasses from the V&A shop, I can just imagine sipping a deep red tipple from them, and those Bat flowers are crazy!

Jealous Artists in Residence at Heal's

From 30th January, North London gallery and print studio Jealous will be moving into the showcase windows of Heal's flagship store on Tottenham Court road. Lasting just a week, the residency will run free workshops and will be offering limited edition and original works for those who wish to invest (prices start at just £35). Artists involved include Sara Pope, whose vampy lips painting is shown here, and Damien Weighill who has boldly defaced the Queen with a cheeky tache, above. There will also be installations and much more so make it snappy, it closes on February 5th!

Step into my office....

Agonisingly, series four of Mad Men has started in the US and will not be reaching our shores until next year. In the meantime, here are a few moody shots of Don Draper's former office to keep that Mad Men habit at bay. Personally, I can't wait to see how Stirling, Cooper, Draper, Pryce decorate their new office (or to see what happens within it's walls).

Vintage Academe "Summer of Love (and brownies)"

For one night only on Thursday night, the clock went back to 1970 for Vintage Academe's Summer of Love themed party. I was commissioned to dress the window and provide hash cakes for the guests (fairly last minute might I add, so please don't judge me)! All we were missing were a few joss sticks.....
